Klassieke muziek, maar dan zoals je ze nog nooit meemaakte. Geen grote zaal, geen afstand, geen plechtige regels. Wel: een vleugel op drie meter van je stoel, een glas bubbels in je hand en een huis vol verhalen dat die avond helemaal van jou is.

Op zondag 11 oktober 2026, tijdens ons openingsweekend aan de Lijnwaadmarkt, zetten we de deuren speciaal open voor iedereen tussen 18 en 35 jaar. Eén avond, dertig plaatsen, en een publiek van leeftijdsgenoten.

Aan de vleugel: de internationale Koreaanse pianiste Aeji Jo, die bij The Antwerp Pianist haar officiële debuut maakt. Ze neemt je mee door vier eeuwen pianomuziek, van Bach tot Rachmaninoff. Muziek die je misschien kent van films, playlists of studeersessies, maar die je nu voor het eerst voelt trillen in de lucht om je heen.

Kom vanaf 19 uur binnen. De wijnbar is open, je glas bubbels staat klaar, en je krijgt de tijd om het huis te ontdekken: de hoge plafonds, het gebrandschilderde licht, de warmte van bordeaux, crème en goud. Om 20 uur stipt begint het recital. Daarna blijf je gewoon nog even hangen.

Classical music, but nothing like you've experienced before. No big hall, no distance, no solemn rules. Instead: a grand piano three metres from your seat, a glass of bubbles in your hand, and a house full of stories that belongs to you for the night.

On Sunday 11 October 2026, during our opening weekend at the Lijnwaadmarkt, we open the doors especially for everyone between 18 and 35. One evening, thirty seats, and an audience of your own generation.

At the piano: international Korean pianist Aeji Jo, making her official debut at The Antwerp Pianist. She takes you through four centuries of piano music, from Bach to Rachmaninoff. Music you might know from films, playlists or study sessions, but that you'll now feel vibrating in the air around you for the very first time.

Walk in from 7 pm. The wine bar is open, your glass of bubbles is waiting, and you'll have time to explore the house: the high ceilings, the stained-glass light, the warmth of bordeaux, cream and gold. At 8 pm sharp, the recital begins. Afterwards, feel free to stay a while.
